Welcome to Back Page Mysteries! My mystery games are a little different from many other types of mystery games out there. Each player plays a character and each character has a story, with friendships, desires, grudges, secrets, and vendettas all around – and then you’re free to do whatever you think will help you best accomplish your goals and survive the night. There’s no script. I have no idea how your run of the game is going to end. There’s dirt to dig up on everybody, and nobody is safe!
Back Page Mysteries are different from many other murder mystery styles. There’s potentially more than one murder (and more might happen during the game), the characters don’t work as a team, there are no non-player characters (other than the host, who keeps things organized), and nobody is innocent. There are loads of opportunities to break out your inner thespian!
This murder mystery contains elements of detective work, improv theater, roleplaying games, and classy, classy parties. Everything you need is in our kits – just add water. (And friends.)
